Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long is the sales period for?

This comic will be available for 3 months after of the posting date. When that time is over, the digital version will no longer be available. Physical copies will be sold until they are all gone. 

2. What about Another Peak (2024)? Can I still get it?

Yes! You absolutely can. Digital copies of Another Peak are now free. You can find the link HERE.

3. Why is this book NOT free/P4P/so expensive?

There are a few reasons for this, the biggest one being adult content moderation. As the organizer, I did not feel comfortable sharing explicit material so freely. It is difficult to restrict young audiences from explicit material when it is just a single click away. 

The second reason is that, frankly, making comics is hard and I want to support each creator directly. Being a creator in these times is incredibly tough. People deserve to be paid for their creative work, fanwork or otherwise. 

And lastly, when it comes to physical sales, it's a lot of labour. A LOT. Too much for plain-old me, frankly. This time around, I have decided to leave that work to a professional book store that knows what they're doing. Naturally, this comes with costs. But hey! You get to support a really cool indie bookstore with each physical purchase, which is pretty neat too. 

You are under no obligation to purchase this book and many artists will likely share their comics  for free after the sales period is over. 

4. I cannot afford to buy this book but I am of age. What now? 

That's very understandable! All artists are free to do whatever they wish with their work once the sales period is over. This includes selling it independently or posting it for free at their own discretion. Feel free to follow each artist to keep up to date! Fandom is a gift to be shared, after all.

5. How are creators paid through this book? Where is my money going?

10% of each sale goes towards itch.io and then there's processing fees (approx 50 cents). The remaining profit is then divided amongst the artists. Artists are paid a portion of each sale based on the length of their contributed comic and any additional art they contributed towards the book. However, as the mod, I do not get any extra shares outside of my own comic contribution.

6. Is AI involved with this project.

No. Generative AI is NOT involved in this project. All works in this book may NOT be used for any form of Generative AI-related training.

7. Why are the page numbers different in the Digital vs. Physical copy?

The physical copy has a few additional flow pages optimized for print. These were removed for the digital version. Both versions contain the same comic pages and contents, aside from these.
